Offering more than just a curated selection of clothing and gifts, owners Carrie Hibbard and Leah Riehl share a passion for community and inclusivity. They have created a warm, inviting space that represents their core value of beauty, reflected: a place where every piece in the store is an opportunity to highlight the natural beauty within each customer and create a moment that is truly special.
After working at Terra Verde as managers, Leah and Carrie bought the store in 2020. Small businesses and retailers have no doubt struggled, but Leah and Carrie have stayed innovative, energized, and hopeful through the ups and downs of this ever changing economy.
What sets this 6,000 square foot boutique apart is not only its resilience but the unique shopping experience it brings. Leah and Carrie meticulously curate a collection that blend eclectic styles, ensuring something for everyone. “We want every single person that walks into our store to find something that brings them joy”, says Leah “We have an old school retail approach of quality over quantity and a good experience over everything”.
Terra Verde and their staff take pride in giving customers an unforgettable shopping experience. You won’t find a more caring, knowledgeable, and downright fun group of people to help you shop. “Our favorite thing is watching customers come back year after year to get their gifts wrapped, pick out their holiday outfit, or choose their yearly ornament for the tree” says Carrie. “It fills our hearts to have such loyal customers who share in our commitment to keeping downtown thriving”.
